Ernest Asuzu began his acting career in the ’90s and rose to prominence after he starred in the 1997 Nollywood classic, ‘Rituals’ He was the toast of Nollywood until his career nosedived after he came down with a stroke in 2015 and it affected his speech. He was also bedridden for three years.
Fans were, however, left in shock after a video of him begging on Lagos streets surfaced online in 2019.
Asuzu, who often starred alongside Jim Iyke, in Nollywood hits in his heyday, suddenly went down with stroke and went public with the illness in 2015.
The ailment later was exacting a heavy toll on him, probably spiritual, as he was also unable to walk and behaving abnormally and begging for money naked on the streets. He later confirmed in a media interview that his problem was ‘spiritual attack’.
He was born in 1985.
